gigabyte becomes avaiable without knowing about it

I am curious about if a GB can become avaiable with out anyone deleateing items? I know you can get more GB's by deleating items off your computure or adding more but I did nothing like that but Today I came home and this one GB is here I thought had 127 GB before I left home I thought on Saturday and today it is one GB more Is this a cause for a aleart? It could be I havent checked my GB for so long that I may have forgotten the count. but the last check was 127. I am scraching my head on this one on how this mysteriours one gigabyte became available:confused: Ive checked my files they are all there

did you run a "tuneup" or "disk cleanup"?

It would not be particularly unusual in a disk environment of your size to "free up" a GB of temp files and other trash...

Nope nothing like that Chuck, I was reading that it might be that the computure deleated some temp files

yeah a lot of prebuilt systems are set up to clean out temp files and such at certain intervals....I never even really notice my hard drive space cuz theres just to much damn space!!!
