Don't laugh need to improove PC

I don't want a new PC til mid next year but in meantime would like some perfomance improovement on what I have.

AMD Athlon 64bit 3200+
2gb Ram
Radeon X600 256mb graphics
XP system

I assume improvement in Ram or Graphics is best as the chip is not on I assume?
Would improving one or other or if need be both really improve frame rates to any extent so help in upgrade order would be appreciated.

Was happy while routes basically empty but have noticed a real clog up when adding multy locos etc

Well, I can't laugh because my system is worst!:) Do you have trainstore? It decreases the clogging. Thats all I can think of. Graphics card seems fine, RAM seems fine, I don't know what else is left;)
