To those who still have the original NEC - track numbers at Baltimore Station.

Could anyone that still have the original NEC route (USA1) installed check the sequence of track numbers at Baltimore Station? I need to compare them to how the tracks are numbered in NECv4, but don't have any of the original routes for the moment.

Using the Activity Editor to display the default the Baltimore Station tracks are numbered from bottom to top except that KUJU neglected to number the top track. So what you have is something like this;

--------(4)

--------(2)
--------(1)

That said, I numbered the tracks according to the official Amtrak track charts of 1992.

Unless I am very mistaken that's how they're also numbered in NECv4 then (with the top track being the freight track AFAIK).

Back in 1991 or 92 I had a cab ride in an AEM7, NY Penn to Washington. We were late getting into Baltimore (about 8:30 PM) and were sitting at the platform (4) staring at 'snake eyes' on a dwarf signal. The engineer said we were waiting for a northbound freight to clear the tunnel and he passed to our LEFT, not sure what track but is was not on track 8 for sure.
This makes sense since northboung freight is usually destined to the NS Bayview Yard which is as you know on the east side of the line a mile or so north of the station which are the lower track numbers.

According to a website I saw recently but forgot to store in favourites, IIRC southbound freights use track "8", northbounds track 2 (which is actually track 1 if the Light Rail is not counted).
