Under ConBuiler I checked the "Reports". There were several errors, in most cases, all the same. For example: "The wagon file GWRLUG_1.wag contains an error on the line "Wagon ("and so it couldn't be added to the wagons list.
Most probably the Wagon line is not the SAME as its FILENAME.
The Wagon line should be Wagon ( GWRLUG_1
Folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\TRAINS\TRAINSET\PENDEN_1"

When I checked the GWRLUG_1.wag, what I found was GWRluggcar.wag. If I understand the message correctly, I am to change that to be the same as its filename, which is GWRLUG_1??????????????
Thanks for your advice.

Hi Fred

Have you opened the file GWRluggcar.wag in a Unicode editor, and checked what the Wagon line says? If it does say:

Wagon ( GWRLUG_1

then you should change it to match the filename, without the .wag extension. However, you'd better check what any consists are looking for, as well.

Often these errors in Conbuilder are when the letter case doesn't match. If you find lots of those (you will), Routeriter has a series of fixes to sort those out.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. After checking a little further, I had decided not to make any changes untill I heard from someone. I will use RR and pretty much ignore CB.

Fred

Fred,,
Which version of ConBuilder are you using?

No, you should do it the other way around.
Somehow the files you have are in the "raw" format they come in on the MSTS install disk, not the "installed" format they're supposed to be.

Route Riter will not change the name from what is in the wagon line to be correct with the filename, except for the case. ConBuilder reported the error correctly as it has done for quite some time. The wagon lines, engine line and the filename must agree.

Then post your problems on the ConBuilder Private Support Forum for answers.
