You folks out around Chicago way need to remind this guy that if we give violent criminals the upper hand, we lose.
I sent the city manager, Tom Barwin the following letter:

Tom Barwin
Village Manager
Oak Park, Ill

Sir,

Your stance that "It's just completely befuddling that our Supreme Court would be in alliance with the gangbangers," assumes that the "gangbangers" would be / are affected by this ruling... How can this be?
The illegal side of society always had access to firearms and oh horrors, knives too! Cannot you see this?
All we common citizens want is a way to level out the field a bit and you sir, seem to want the lawbreaking types to have the upper hand, kind of putting us common productive members of society at a disadvantage.

This is just not right. And I do acknowledge that there probably be an increase in firearm related accidents and acts of childish rage resulting in death. But you prosecute those on a case by case basis.
What will happen is a decrease in criminal activity against the general public and an INCREASE of dead criminals delivered to the city morgue.
May I remind you that this will save millions of taxpayer dollars by not having an expensive trial, just a coroners inquest to determine if an act of deadly force was justified and finally, not having to pay for years and years of incarceration, and the possibility of release on parole only to, in many cases, repeat offend, again putting the productive side of society at risk.

These worthless leeches on society should be, upon delivery to a medical facility should be stripped of any useful organs then the remaining trash should be burned to generate power.

And in this way, 'They pay their debt to society.'

Respectfully,
Vince Cockeram

You're probably talking to a brick wall, but let us know if you hear back from him, although I doubt it.

I'm sure his mind's made up. You shouldn't confuse him with the facts. :D

That's kind of like the Liberal myth that too many people in prison is somehow a problem, even though the crime rates are going down because of it...

Good letter, though.

Maybe in a few more years, you can introduce those "public servants" to Heller Kitty's older twin "Klasnikitty"

We can keep them busy monitoring this site to make sure that no one is assaulted. http://www.assaultweaponwatch.com/

Here's an exerpt from that page:
December 18, 2004

We received a gracious donation of a bayonet from Model "1" Sales, a merchant of death and destruction that debates our claim that drive-by bayonetings are a serious problem and doubt that assault weapon violence will be spotted!

With their assistance, we finally managed to attach the bayonet to the assault rifle correctly. Little do they know that they will be contributing to their own demise as we record bayonet violence that will no doubt result in a nationwide bayonet ban!

Finally managed to attach it? It's not that difficult to do!
Due to our limited budget and staffing, we are not available to monitor these assault weapons around the clock. We depend on you, our supporters, to help us maintain our vigil with the assistance of our webcam.
They want internet users to watch their assualt rifle?
But, here's the best for last:
We trust that John Kerry, the Brady Campaign, and independent experts like Tim Robbins would never mislead us,
Never, never ever would they mislead you! Especially a democrat! :p

I don't get it. It's a cam of an ar-15, with a bayonet no less. ???? Why do they have a cam on an ar-15? Are they expecting it to get up and walk?

That's the point. Liberals blame violence on guns, (hence the phrase "gun violence") instead of the perpetrators of violence. The site is ridiculing liberals. Not that it takes much effort, since they usually do it just by opening their own mouths...
