Now, they need to find a way to kill off all termites and the bacteria responsible for decomposition of organic material. That will eliminate another 65% of the methane that goes into the air each year.

It will also disrupt the natural growing cycle for plants as the organic matter, now unavailable for plants, collects in a huge pile as the plants suffer from the lack of nutrients. Eventually, all plants will die from the lack of CO2 as well. Then, the world will become a sterile ice planet.
