Good morning,

After installing the RF&P route, RouteRiter advises me that the file MR_0501.s is missing. The route file (rfp2.zip) does not contain this file. The batch file was run and all default routes are present.

Thanks.

Gary

Thanks for the quick response; however, I didn't even known that a patch for this route exists. I haven't been able to find it in T-S library.

Can you tell me where I might find the patch?

Thanks again.

I think it's called RFP2fix.zip. I'd just send it to you but I'm reading the forum on my lunch break at work. If you don't find it in the file library, send me an email at home: Literalman@aol.com.

Hi,
It took me a little time to get everything working on the RF&P, but it was worth it. Once you get it up and rolling, go back and get the activities for it. I got them all to work except "Across the Potomac". Good luck

Fred

I guess I should have repeated what you repeated, or, whatever. Yes download the patch. It is in the file library. I had to install (batch file) twice to get it working. Also, check the additions: custom and default consists and non-default items.

Yes, this route comes highly recommended. Even the default Japanese and Austrian(?) stations don't look too out-of-place. Considering that the route was apparently done by hand (no DEM'ed terrain) and without use of markers, it is really a remarkable feat.

 I don't see any patch and someone sent the patch to the other person..We don't have to get arrogant..If you know so much about this patch what is the correct file name?????? Then we will not have to repeat ourselves:confused:

P.S after some good soul searching I found it......Problem solved

RFP_fix.zip

It does not show up if you search for "RF&P", however searching for RFP lists it second from the top ("MSTS RFP Route Fix"). It also shows up with "Steve Dunham" (the route creator) as the search term.

Yes, when I started making it in 2002 I didn't know about DEM. I used topo maps and measured the curvature and so on and ended up with Washington, DC, miles out of its real position. :-(

I also had an altitude and track map from a 1977 article in Trains magazine, and I took lots of notes while commuting on VRE.

However, I was still new at track laying and a lot of the track is rough. The Blue Comet Lines will be much better in that regard (and use DEM as well). I've been laying track for almost a year and still have a few months' work to go, I suppose, before I get into scenery and all the rest.
