I have the free download of su but, for some reason I don't have any textures. I have a building that I have designed that has s and sd files. Where can I get these textures from?
Apparently the su I have donesn't even have a library at all. Could someone enlighten me on this. Vince tried to help me with textures but there aren't any. Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about Sketchup, I don't even have the program, I don't think.
I believe I've read that the program won't recognize the ACE files that MSTS uses. So when you use a texture, it will need to be in TGA, or JPG, or BMP format. Then, after you've exported the shape file, you need to export the textures using TGATool2a, or ACEit or one of those programs.
My short list of texture sites is as follows:
http://cgtextures.com/
http://www.imageafter.com/
http://textures.forrest.cz/
http://www.texturespace.com/index.php?dp=default
http://www.mega-tex.nl/highqualitytextures/
Some of what is on there needs some work to fit MSTS better. Be sure to read the usage requirements before you redistribute something from there.
Also, scroll through the Scenery Objects portion of the library, and find Ron Picardi's shapes and textures. His textures are very flexible, and he generally allows them to be redistributed at will.
I don't know if I answered your question, or what your question might have been, for that matter.

Rob,
Click on the SU 'paint' icon and then click the drop down catagory menu (stone, wood, etc) and this will bring you to the (onboard) catagory of interest to reveal the available assortment.
If I remember correctly there is an additional twexure file that you could D/L from SU. However, that may have been included in the latest version(s) of SU (v6+), I'm not sure.
Toodles,
Bob
