This is just a post for those that may not be familiar with the Seaview 5 route. It is a blast and fun to travel. It is an amusement park ride of some sorts. Different Flora and Fauna, track over large water areas. Just a blast. This one is fun !!!!! Caution, selecting the right consist is important because there are some curves that cars can not turn on and MSTS stalls.

I'll try and post the site after I find it again.....

Yes, the Sea View route is indeed a fun route to run. I even said it with version 4 and this will also apply here. Get this route if you like exploring strange lands. I have yet to explore the new parts of that newer version. I'm sure what Bill Burnett added here is just super.
I've said it before and I'll say it again in this one; of all the routes that has ever been made, this route just pushes the limits of what is possible in any route created in MSTS. There are items here that you wouldn't even dream possible in an ordinary prototypical route. All in all a very splendid job by Bill Burnett and friends.
Even if you don't like fantasy routes, just give this a try for your exploratory fun. Lots of scenic eye candy here. If you like sceneries, you really can't go wrong in this one. This route may not be huge in terms of total mileage in tracks (compared to the multi-hundred mile tracks in other huge routes), but it more than makes it up in terms of scenic content. And because of the crammed number of scenery items, be prepared for a big alotment in hard drive space for this route, compared to similar routes of the same mileage.
To keep your trains running smoothly in the tight curving tracks as recommended above, don't use wagons or engines that are like the 73 feet center beam cars in length. In other words, selecting something smaller like some fifty footers are ok.
And this isn't a route only for newbees either. Even a seasoned train simmer like myself enjoys something like this. ;)

Actually it's not that bad. There's about 290 miles of track and 125 miles of roads and it takes up abut 405 MB hard drive space, installed. :)

I'd stay away from D9's as well, and other long engines. The only problem is in the early version areas between Flat Top Island and Volcano Island. The rest of the route is fine as later versions didn't use the dreaded 45d yard curves.

That route is the medicine I take when everything else gets frustrating. When you have one of those days with MSTS that makes you want to quit, a good dose of Seaview will fix you right up. My hat off to the creators of this excellent piece of work. Hours of just fun and entertainment. This is the one route my wife and grandkids are actually interested in.

It is rewarding to hear that there are still a few folks out there enjoying Sea View.

That masterpiece of yours is a work of art and creativity. It is one that is in a league on its own. ;) It should be enjoyed.
And as for my exploring every nook and cranny of that place, I have yet to do that. Have yet to find that secret place you mentioned in there a while back.

Hi Edwin,
The "secret place" is on Spalding Island near Mango Grove Station. When leaving Mango Grove Station heading toward Soggy Island, simply go left at every switch. If you are using MSTS bin, it doesn't force cab view in tunnels. So, for the best special effects select cab view when approaching the large "JUMP !" sign.
