In the Whitefish Freight Pull activity, I found the following:

- When the train passes Belton, there appears to be a hill so steep the train comes to a grinding halt. In fact, to get past this point I had to add a helper engine on the rear, a GN F-45, to make the grade.

Further, if the train isn't going full speed, 50 mph, even with the helper, you can't make it over the hill.

My question is this - is this an actual copy of the terrain in this area, or is this unique to the MSTS model?

Thanks,

Robert

If your using the default Marias Pass...
Scrap it

Go, download Marias Pass V3.1
Much more easier grades, close to the real thing! =]

Robert,

I think a better word than scrapping would be, not using.

Because you need all the default routes to use routes that have installme bat. files.

His suggestions are for a route are correct.

Whoops, should have made that clearer. Yes. Scrapping it wouldn't be best as it's needed for other routes to use objects from the 6 original routes.
Anywho..

Is there any way to use default version activities, such as Whitefish Freight Pull, in Version 3.1?

IIRC someone did some activities on the Marias Pass V3.1 that reproduced the default ones.

They should be in the file library.

Marias 3.1 includes the reworked activities in a folder within the route folder. There are also a good number of other activiies as well, and some of the stock needed to run them.
