P&WV missing textures

blank.ace is what im missing...i ran the installer and installme.bat...its still not working

I seem to have a ton of files named blank.ace in the texture files of various routes and trainsets, the most common two being 17 kb and 43 kb.

If you have various other routes installed, have you run this through Route Riter to have it replace missing files?

Blank.ace is an artifice of Train Sim Modeler. It's used to cover unseen, otherwise untextured faces. As Pauls says, you may already have several. Most I have looked at are blue, but it doesn't matter...

Search the \Route folder yourself. That way you can pick one of the 1 kB blue ones, which look just exactly like the 259 kB blue ones. :)

It seems that I have 100 of these. The 355 kB versions are dark brown.

It really doesn't matter which...

Yes, that's what we're recommending. I may have misled you in my previous post when I said \ROUTE folder. I should have typed \ROUTES folder. Sorry...

If you stay with this thing, you need RouteRiter. If you're uncertain about what to do, here's the best place to download it and get a good description of some of the things it does:

First on the list is: "1. Check a Route for missing shape and texture files." :)

ok...i ran route riter...and it still wont work...let me re-install and ill post back

yes i did, i needed them for the excellent Cleveland Union Terminal route.

Are you aware of several fixes and updates in the files. I used them and have been able to run the intro. What I am having problems with is that the downloaded activities are giving me some problems.

Hello Mike,
Fred brings up a very good point, along with installing the pwv.zip, make sure you also install:
1) pwv_fix.zip
2) pwv22.zip
3) pwv23up.zip

In the above order and see if that corrects any problems you are experiencing.

I thought I posted this but in checking back I can't find it. Anyway, there are fixes and updates in the Files. I used them and the route is running fine. My problem is that I can't get the downloaded activities to work.
