I have set track and an engine many times and easily specified a destination for the engine. However, now I have "lost the touch".
Layed a single track section. Placed a destination marker. Added and engine and a driver. Doubled clicked the driver and looked at the top-right opoup. It only has the name of the engine, in this case, Service1. None of the other stuff such as where you specifiy the destination appears.
Prior to this I was messing around with a manual switch during a scenario that was working (destinations etc.). I change the switch direction as the engine approached the switch and I lost all of my engine and destination marker names - as if I hit F6. Restarted RS and the same scenario and when the usual screen loaded (terrain etc.) I had the dreaded Scenario Failed To Load. A repeatable situation. So deleted the simple route and re-did it as a simple straight track and ended up as above???
My fault - I was using the normal RS program not the Editor version. Since my DVD was not reading (what's new) I just used the normal version which for some reason must not need a DVD:eek:. After much DVD fiddling I made it read and now ok..
