Would not be prudent to send it out for the weekend since they would have to staff for the increased support over the weekend. But, I hope they do and they like to work late!;)

I see no mention of the trailing engine sound bug, i would seriously hope that is going to be in this fix.............
RS is still going to need serious work after this even, still no light beams either...

yeah i seen that in the release notes they posted on the RS site. But when its finally released we'll get to see just what exactly they fixed and what they didn't. But atleast they are fixing things even if its at a crawl. and i read a post by Adam before saying they were already planning a Mk3 upgrade so we'll see :)

atleast most ppl will be happy that they get dynamic brakes this time:)

Well its thursday now so maybe they'll release it tomorrow so they can rest sunday lol :P

I see no meaningfull enhancement of any prototypical railway practice.

Now you trainspotter types might be happy with eye candy.

But as an ex-railwayman, i am not.

Let's not fall out again, please.

I'd like to see (or hear) two separate exhaust beats from double-headed trains.
Let's wait and see. This upgrade has taken RSDL longer than they thought so perhaps it's better than most pessimists think.

Eye candy at Haven Street.

No mention of the latitude crossing crash. Well, can only hope for an imminent surprise.

On the postive side, at least they're trying, and the announcement does say "some" of the highlights. It's good to see them actually putting significant effort into working through some of the problems. That says a lot for them...

In comparison, how long did we wait for a fix for the front coupler in another sim?

Agreed! That's why i'm hoping for an imminent surprise. Did "they" actually ever really fix that coupler bug? "They" certainly never fixed the loop crash that is a non issue with RS.

Exactly. Why not give them the benefit of the doubt, besides, not everything is possible, and we may need a "mark III" update down the road. I'm just saying that people from RS are here everyday, willing to answer questions, discuss issues, and even encourage people. After a thread with one of the RS people, if the dynamics are fixed, I might go for the idea of trying to get my new cars into RS. And if I can do it once, I can do it again - and I have a LOT of new cars, the ones I released this week are only the tip of the iceberg relating to what I've been working on. If I can build cars and put them into TWO sims, why not!

Dan,

i was a DMU & Loco fitter, on the WR of BR which is the same as being the son of god.

Looks like the MK2 will not address some of the known issues. However, RSDL will now have the capability to quickly introduce new fixes with the "patch applicator" program. I would expect a stream of individual issue fixes if this is their philosophy.

Unlucky for god then if you are what passes for family.

Do you honestly have to come into every thread and try to hijack it with your dislikes about what was or wasn't done in a patch? come on man its getting OLD! If you don't like the sim that much then why do you keep buying the expansion packs just uninstall RS and go back to MSTS or Trainz!

i had a feeling RSDL would release it today looks like i was right.
