I stumbled upon this website that has a neat application that will allow you to create your own road signs.

You can download the application, or more simply, use it on line and copy the screenshot to transfer to your graphics program to create a .bmp to convert to .ace.

The website address is: http://www.kurumi.com/roads/signmaker/signmaker.html.

Hey, that sign looks really familiar. :D :)

I forgot to add that this is a whole lot safer than driving down the freeway and trying to take a picture out of the windshield at the approaching sign you need for your route... had a couple of close calls attempting this maneuver!

And, the sign looks better than a photo-textured one using the out-of-focus picture you risked your life to take at 75 mph. :-)

HEHE....you forget where you live??? If people can drive down the freeway shooting at freeway signs then surly you can drive down the freeway and take a picture of a sign.

Yes, you will have to make the posts, as well as the sign boards themselves, yourself. The subject application will allow you to easily make an image file of the sign itself, which you will then convert to an .ace file for use with your sign/post.

Great find.
Do you know if there is one for Canada?

make your signs at kurumi, then use the shields up generator http://www.kendrick.org/shields-up/ and make your canadian signs, then pase them and resize them over the US shields. BTW: shield is the sign with the number, for you non-road geeks out there.

If you really need a photo of that sign;

1. Pick a nice day when traffic is light.
2. Pull off the road before taking that picture.
3. Watch for oncoming traffic before merging back into traffic.

or;

Have a friend photograph the sign while you do the driving.
