Hi All,

I slowly learning how to model for the sim using Rhinoceros and 3dCanvas. I have begun to model some bridges and stations to be used in an upcoming route, but I am having problems with textures showing up as one sided in Shapeviewer.
When you rotate the model 180 degrees in Shapeviewer the items disappear.
I have checked normals on the rhinoceros mesh pre exporting into Canvas, making sure they all face the same direction and outward on closed volumes.
I can successfully texture and export out of Canvas. The model shows up perfectly in Shapeviewer and in RE, but when you rotate, I lose some of the textures. It seems to be only on single plane polys, such as bracing on trestle bridges. The cylindrical and square shapes are fine. I'd like to use enclosed volumes on all the parts, but the poly count gets a little high.
I feel there is a setting in Canvas that might force two sided poly textures similar to 3dsMax?
By the way, I'm designating the bridges as scenery objects in the wizard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Rob

If I remember right, MSTS doesn't support 2-sided polygons.

Thanks Nick,
You are probably right. I ended up mirroring the faces over and textured them. It hasn't made much difference to the poly count.

Cheers, Rob
