Just found this. Add the command line code described below to the RailSimEditor.exe shortcut and jump AI trains.

You can jump on AI trains in scenarios as they pass, by clicking on the AI train. The train will slow to a stop when you click, but all you have to do is put its reverser in "forward" and increase the throttle as desired, and you are now piloting the AI train.

Add the following command to the desktop shortcut which starts RailSimEditor.exe

-allowJump

as in, for example:

"C:\Program Files\Rail Simulator\RailSimEditor.exe" -allowJump

Don't get out of sight of your player train, however, as you won't be able to click on it to get back to it! I wish we could click on the 2D map and go anywhere, as that would solve this problem.

That is an interesting feature.

Is there a way that you can do both the allowjump and NoSplashScreens at the same time?

Hiya,

before I see the first complaint about this issue, the train you were driving will grind to a halt also when you jump.

We have not yet developed the originally designed function that allows AI to take over from the player when you move trains.

It also does that when jumping in a Freeroam scenario from a moving player service to another one within range, no command line switch required.

Changing back to it then carries one driving according to the settings applied at the time of jumping ! ;)
