Kaspersky 7.0 disengaging itself.

Has anyone else had Kaspersky turn itself off after the 8-18-2008 update? I rolled back to 8-17-2008, but this does not sound good!! I hope this isn't a way to capture US computers for Russian mischief or malstorm!!!?

Thanks for the heads up Bob. Makes me leary of letting it update when I get home from work today. Have you "googled" the problem yet, or hit the Kaspersky webpage?
Never once had a problem with Kaspersky, so I hope this is a quirk, or a bug with a quick fix.
I am going to search around the internet to see if I can find any info on your issue.

It does state on their web site;

Download the latest version of any Kaspersky product here and purchase (http://usa.kaspersky.com/store/) a registration key (Business) or an activation code (Home) to make the product live for up to three years.

I don't know if you've had your version for 3 years or not though.

Ho, I just upgraded it about 6 months ago. It should be all appropriate. I have not had the problem since I rolled it back? I don't know when the next auto update will come?

Well, Update 8-19-2008 and all OK so far! Maybe just something the computer ate?:confused::rolleyes:
