CALGARY - An Enmax operated mobile crane swung into action fifteen minutes before it was authorized to do so yesterday, striking and derailing a moving C-Train.

The collision is still under investigation. At this point an error in communication is being blamed as the cause.
Calgary Transit has an excellent safety record. This is only the second coach to be badly damaged in over twenty years of C-Train operation.
