So here are the posted ground rules, at least those I can find:
1. The "It's an Election Year" excuse is going to end. Myself and others are tired of seeing the 08' candidates being bashed on here. If your going to post a news link, post it but keep your comments to yourself. If yall can manage to have a CIVIL, discussion of the candidates advantages and disadvantages, be my guest, but the "So and so is to much of a yadda yadda blah blah blah" crap will not be tolerated. Bashing the candidates results in bashing of members supporting that candidate, and the wheel continues to roll from there.
2. Democrat/Republican - Liberal/Conserative bashing of members also will be coming to an end. If you're for one party, support yours, don't bash those for the other party just because they see things differently than you. We get Alerts and PM's left and right about people being singled out and feeling threatened because of their views whether it occurs on the forums publicly or in PM.
I would like to what what part of these rules my thread today on comments quoted from CNN on Sarah Palin violated. If it was my fault, I'd like to know what, specifically was at fault. If it was a reply that broke the rules, I'd like to know that was at fault, not my post.
I simply want to know why it was deleted so I can take it into account in the future.

You have to look under "Locked Threads."
It says: "From this point forth any Thread that is about Politics is locked. We are and so are others from the PM's we get tired of it.If you want to talk Politics go to a Blog or Forum that pertains to it."
So, we went to Hawk's forum. At least some of us did...

Moreover I'd like to know why offending threads aren't simply just locked rather than deleted. Nothing more frustrating than to come back to check on the progress (or lack of it) of a thread, and then think you're going nuts because you can't find it!
And Dave, if you're a member of Hawk's forum, why don't you restart the topic there? I thought it was an interesting topic worthy of discussion.

Yeah, I went there too. I am registered and all that stuff, clicked on the enable Politico thingie or whatever it said and I can't find the forum for the life of me. I'm sure it's right in front of my face but I just don't see it.
I see Hawk is changing servers today so it might be a while till it's up again.

Hawk is changing providers and the process is taking much longer then expected. it may be a few days before we can post there and discuss the division of this country in this current uncivil war.
My thread got locked this morning, as expected, once one of the candidates was mentioned by name. Dave's just got sucked into the black hole of censorship probably because candidates were mentioned by name along with a MSM news source.

You children need to grow up and FREAKING get over it. My two neices play better than you brats do.
This is a PRIVATE forum. GOT THAT PRIVATE!!!!
YOU HAVE NOT FREAKING RIGHT TO POST WHATEVER YOUR LITTLE HEART WANTS.
If Hawk wants that crap in his forum, go THERE and post your drivel there.

Well Kevin, despite your shouting, I agree w/ you. That's why I'm trying to follow the rules (see post #1 again).
As for heading over to Hawks forum, well, as one of those who didn't like the content on this board -- and left the site for some time because of it -- why would I want to follow that content over there?

Nope, crazy all the time. Tired of idiots. Tired of people who SHOULD be on meds and too damned lazy to go get them.

Keven, If such post upset you so, just put the posters on your banned list and you will no longer be exposed to them.
3. General Bashing of Users : Ever heard the saying "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all"? I'm sure you have, but why few can apply such information is unknown to me. I'd like to see all the name calling, political or not, stop. If someone comes to T-S and looks in the yard, only to see a bunch of pissing fights amongst senior members, they more than likely turn around and never come back thinking this site is full of a bunch of egotistical members who have nothing better to do than bash everyone else.

Case Closed!
Sorry Bob! I screwed up! :o
I added you to the group but forgot to hit the submit button. That's the second time I've done that. :D
You should be able to see the forums now, but as mentioned in a couple of previous posts in this thread (by you and Ron), I'm in the process of moving the site and forums to a new server and the domain name registrar isn't being very helpful.
They said, 'for security reasons (for my own good ), the transfer can take up to 7 days'. It's now been 25 hours, as of this posting.
I have disabled posting in any threads (for your own good 6402) so that new posts won't get lost in the site move.
I do apologize to all for this inconvenience but it's kinda' out of my hands.

Wouldja all stop changing the subject here. I still want to what what part of the rules my thread on comments quoted from CNN on Sarah Palin violated.
Back on subject, only the mods can answer that.

Thanks Ken. Now could you tell me what I wrote that violated those rules? You know, so I don't do it again. Or if it wasn't me, just say so.
See, I do want to play by the rules... it's just that when something disappears there's no way to know who crossed the line or why... and since my thread did disappear, I'd like to know if it was my fault or not.
TIA.

The problem is not really what you did but, it's what others might agree/disagree with your views. In other words, you post might be open to bashing or flame and we were trying to prevent that.

So it didn't violate the rules but could potentially violate the rules if potentially someone might comment on it in a way that might possibly but not necessarily violate the rules.
Got it. Shall I refrain from posting about my preference for the RSD15 over the SD24 in that it might perhaps spark a difference in opinion between two posters? Perhaps I should stop telling people that I prefer GMax because 3DCavas' interface is just silly?
Time to go back to the Foo Fighters board, I guess...

Dave you have a PM.
We stand by what has been done and Politics will not be discussed as per forum rules.
and to one post, now your being silly and why deposit 2 cents if you know it might start something that doesn't need be.
