Thank you! Regardless of our feelings about the wars, politics, etc., this is a day all Americans should remember forever in order to prevent days like that from ever happening again.

Seven years without another attack...

I'm still pretty ticked off that Osama bin Laden wasn't brought to Justice in the WTC attack. You know, the first one? When he was in custody in Sudan? And coulda had him, and prevented the second one?

That single act will go down in History as the biggest foreign policy mistake since the Treaty of Versailles..

Speaking of third grade, do you guys remember the joke about 'How do elephants hide in Cherry Trees?'
The answer-'They paint their toe nails red'.
At which point, someone would say 'They do not!'
The final response being, 'Well, have you ever seen an elephant in a cherry tree? It must be working.'

It must be working.

Reguardless of what does or doesn't get reported in the media, there still haven't been any more attacks on our soil for 7 years. Granted, there were 15 years between the others, plenty of time to put our blinders back on.

Chasing this group to the far ends of the Earth, seems to be working. While the one who was in charge, doesn't seem to be in charge anymore, probably didn't do much more than possibly think of what the attack should be, and bankroll the operation, those kinds of things are difficult when you are on the move.

Given the amount of time he and his group have been on the move, hiding out in whatever area they are operating in, they're probably good at running and being in charge, but still. Our policy must be working. I won't say if it's a good or bad policy, but just that it must be working.

Today was a sad day for me. I didn't know anyone who was killed in the attacks, but still, a sad day. I still can't fathom three thousand people alive, never mind three thousand people dying. Sporting events can have tens of thousands, there's twenty five thousand students on my campus, aircraft carrier (ships crew) can have about three thousand people, but still, I don't have a good idea of what that many people look like.

Todd Beamer and the Flight 93 heros did a good thing. They were just regular people, who saw what was happening, and did something. People like this founded our country, but as generations went by, so few are still like that, its noteworthy.

I've read articles that talk about the number of civilians, and the number of military who were killed. I feel that in this case, the two groups should be banded together. True, soldiers are for fighting, but when you're deep inside one of the most secure installations on the planet, are you prepared to face death?

A terrible day for our country.

Yep, you're right. After watching the documentary's on the History channel this morning about 9-11 I needed a lift.

Watching Apollo 13 now for about the tenth time. Even though I've watched it so many times I still get goose bumps waiting for radio contact after re-entry.

Night Robert.

Today, we held the seventh annual memorial to remember the events of 9-11 at Michigan's Own Military and Space Museum. http://www.weyi.com/news/news_story.aspx?id=189513

I was there taking photos of the event along with the local news media. Channel 25 made the event their lead story at 6:00PM
