Error message generators

Will the new sim have a built in error message generator like the old sim? An example is probably in order here. In MSTS, I have a consist present, for a route I haven't run in years, that calls out a boxcar I deleted back in 2002. From the day I deleted that boxcar until the sun runs low on hydrogen, MSTS will check every consist frantically looking for something amiss so it can generate error messages and/or crash the sim, instead of quietly making 53 car train out of a 54 car one, and putting the missing car into a report file that I can happily ignore forever. Or this one, its snowing and that newly created haunted mansion is missing it's snow textures, YIKES, generate error messages, crash the sim, call Bill Gates, anything but blowing the regular texture onto the model and moving on.

Well I still like to see the error messages, but have the option to continue without that asset. PLus I like to see the error messages in a readable form instead of reporting error number such and such and will now close or giving the error in hexdemical.

Error reports would be nice too for those that don't crash the sim.

I agree, error reports are annoying but important. I would rather know if something is missing.

The idea of a default texture, used only when the referenced texture cannot be found, is a really good idea. You know, bright red, perhaps with the words "Missing Texture" centered on it.

A default car, same texture as above, would be a good idea too.

Should somebody delete the defaults, then let the program blow up.

I would just like error messages that, oh, I don't know, tell you what wrong..... "Trainworld Failed To Initialize" While I realize what that means now, it took me weeks to figure it out.... or how about the classic black screen with a "Error: send/don't send".... no explanation what so ever.
