View Full Version : Will MSTSX Model Loading?

Just wondering if MSTSX will model the time lag from when you physically move the throttle to when the unit loads and gives you that power. In MSTS when we we go into Notch 1, we get 100% N1 effort as soon as that lever is moved. Quite different in the real world, as some units are very slow loaders. The newer EMDs are very slow loaders.
If this won't be part of the game, that's totally fine with me, I was just wondering.

that would actually be a really good feature!! That sure would help with realism!

Not having operated one first hand, I would think the same would apply to steam locos too, as the steam travels through some length of pipe between the throttle valve and cylinders...especially if there's a superheater in between.
Different physics going on, but a similar apparent result I'd say ('cept I heard some of those take many seconds or even minutes to load?).
