I think a few more routes could be added to Train SImulator 2 before it is released.
I think that the Marias Pass route, however from Havre, Montana to Athol, Idaho, would be a good idea.
I also would think that the Northeast Corridor, but as the full length from Washington DC to New York City and Boston.
Another idea would be Union Pacific's line through the Moffat Tunnel, from Denver to Grand Junction.
Other ideas I have include:
Cajon Pass, from both San Bernardino to Barstow and West Colton to Mojave, plus the BNSF Palmdale line between Barstow and Mojave, and the connection between San Bernardino and West Colton. It could also include the line over Tehachapi Pass, from Mojave to Bakersfield. The route could include realistic Union Pacific and BNSF operations and consists. CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Conrail power could also be added, plus old Rio Grande and Southern Pacific units.
Coast Line:
This could be the line on the Pacific Coast from Los Angeles up to Sacramento, with realistic Union Pacific, Amtrak, Altamont Commuter Express, Amtrak Capitol Corridor, Pacific Surfliner, and Metrolink opertations.
