on the route i'm building, i created a test activity where you need to wait on a nother train at a one trak to two track portion of line. there is a level crossing, and you have to stop within the activation distanc. once the first train leaves and you can proceed onto the single track, the crossing gates ry to come up, but they just go up a few degrees then instantlu go back down. my question is why does the crossing do this, and how can i fix it.
A diagram of the area in case it is needed:
______s__LC____
\_____s__LC____
s is signal, both pointing for travel to the left of the diagram, LC is the level crossing

You have to stop and wait for the other train to get out of the way...why do you have to stop within the Activation Distance of the crossing?

I'm not clear on what you're trying to explain here... the AI train clears the crossing, the gates go up a bit, and then back down? Or does that happen when your train is on the crossing?

the signal is on the opposite side of the crossing: see

the AI clears, but i'm already in the activation zone.

You can stop as far away from the signal as you want, providing the siding is long enough. you don't have to stop within the Activation Distance of the crossing, if you don't want to.

too bad that dosnt apply for cutting multiple crossings like the kalispell branch line.I was going to do an act for it but i scrapped it due to the crossing issue
