Hi All,
I've been drawing a CPR SW1200RS, I finished drawing and was hoping to use Dick Cowan's sounds, cab views, and engine file on my unit. I've done this before for other units I've drawn, but for some reason I'm having problems with this one. I simply changed the names in Dick's engine file to the name of my unit, also changed the description at the bottom. When I open my unit in MSTS I have cab sounds but no engine sounds, inside or out. I checked Dick's SW1200 and it sounds fine. I haven't changed the two sound files supplied with Dicks SW1200 kit, just changed the name and wagon names to my CP unit. I have also checked the path several times to make sure when I create the S and SD files from TS Modeler they are pointing to the engine sound file that is in the sound folder in the unit's folder. Anyone have any idea what I should be looking for... would be appreciated. Paul :-) |

Problem Solved....
This was odd. I had my main file running when the engine sounds were missing, as soon as I removed the "(Comment)" for the freight animation file and started loading parts, the engine sounds started working. I think I've been MS'ed! Paul :-) |

Hi Paul; sounds like you may have had an extra bracket in there somewhere.

Hi John,
Not sure what the problem was, the only changes I made to Dick's engine file were names. Dick's worked fine, and my sound only started working when I removed the (Comment) I added to the freightanim line... just glad it ended up working. Paul :-) |
