Default pc hang up? to low cpu or bad route?

Weird? this is what happens
I open a route in the RE and get in the large city I made, I got to a yard. place stuff get out of the yard and go back in the place I begun but when I come there the pc hangs up (No errors just hang up) how can this be? the pc had a new windows on it, could it be that that ensures the problem or is the route screwy. I don't dare to look after it myself. the laptop worked before very well but with the new windows it is less workable. but I also had some backupping troubles (though the route starts up) I did had a *no extended shape error when placing an car but I removed the car at once*

Are you running Windows 7, or Vista? The phrase "new windows" doesn't help much with identifying what OS you have.

just windows XP (Had some internet problems), but the main hardrive got split in two parts an D and a C (to solve the internet problem) because of the reïnstall, So I thought it could be that because of this the city was to scenic for the cpu but on the other hand when opening (The route in RE) I get at the point of error without problem but when moving from the tile far enough (So that the sim loads another tile) and then move back(So that the sim will load the start tile) the sim will load first then hang itself!

Hi railrunner, just one possibility, but maybe helpful:

What you describe happens sometimes both in RE and the Sim if you have some sound sources with "out-of-range" coordinates. MSTS Route Editor has a bug concerning the placement of sound sources (affecting only those yellow "columns" that play the ambient sounds, NOT the yellow sound region arrows on the track). If you place a sound source in one particular place, and then move on to another tile before saving, then the entry for the sound source gets written in the .ws file associated with the new tile (i.e. the one you moved to).

Or, in other words: Do never place sound sources across a blue tile boundary line, do never save changes to your sound placement while hovering above another tile than the one the sound source is actually located on.

The result of the bug is that the .ws entry for the sound source will have an x and/or z coordinate that is beyond the tile boundary at +1024 or -1024 metres. That's why the error is called the "out of range coordinate" error, and it usually makes MSTS crash when you move away from the affected tile and get to the point where MSTS releases the .ws with the improper coordinate from memory.

Route Riter / TsUtils lets you check for .ws files with improper coordinates, and has an option to correct the entries by changing the out of range value to +/-1023 m, i.e. 1m shy of the critical values.

Wel I checked the route with route riter twice, though not with TsUtils. apart from that I didn't remember having any sound in the route. (but I could be wrong) I'll check it out. but that still doesn't answer why the bad tile loads fine when going straight from the RE but not from another Tile?
EDIT wait a minute I do have a sound source but on an other tile. it has water sound

Have you got MSTSBin installed ? http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/msts-do...r-1-8-0521.rar improving the use of RAM by MSTS.

Also download this Soundcfg.dat, allowing more sounds to be used at the same time: http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/msts-do...undcfg-dat.zip
