It seemed so simple! upgrade from 32 gig of ram to 64.... So off to Scan UK for two 16 gig sticks.. SSame as the the ones I have, so I thought, turned off computer slotted in the new sticks.... The fired up the computer, no reading the C drive!!!!! in the end (hours later) I had no choice but to reformat the C drive and do a complete reinstall.... I got as far as installing windows then crashed again..... C drive unreadable again.... long story short The ram stick I bought was infact a miss ma
It's taken over a year to get to this stage, and guess what I'm happy!.,... at the mo my favourite bit of kit is the yoke!... For me this is all you need to fly in VR.....
Last week I bit the bullet and bought a Samsung G9 ultrawide 49inc screen 5120x1440 Resolution, Curved 1000R, HDR, VA Panel Technology: 1MS Response Time, 240Hz Refresh Rate, Nvidia® G-Sync® Compatible...... I'm very please with it and it's almost but not just quite as good as flying in VR. Games mode is where this monitor really shines, crisp graphics and very fast response times... games and MSFS run like melting butter..... OK they are not cheap but I think well worth the investment..... w
Grumman G-21 Goose as featured in the TV series, The Tales Of The Golden Monkey Location Bora Gora.... In reality Bora Bora and what a pleasant place for amphibious aircraft, island hopping your way around the South Pacific... The plane is not perfect but that's not a problem, it's a blast to fly and land... I will definitely be buying the payware version when it comes on the market... This was my first landing in the goose....

By upgrading my ram and adding a cooler I now have the performance to run the sim in ultra on screens and high end in VR.... One very happy bunny at long last.... I also have the Irion Maiden livery back so watch out for the book of souls tour!
after quite an eventful Atlantic crossing, I made it to Florida.... Flying over Vero Beach on approach to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
At last after a dip in the Atlantic I finally got the boys to Fort Lauderdale, On approach the wipers came on, the switches are inop, so could not switch them off!! I'm starting to get a good feel for the 747 again..... But I'm still longing for the PMDG to make a 747 for the sim...... Until then I will have to make the best of the stock 747-800, which to be honest is not too bad a model...
when the AI co pilot puts the 747 into a unrecoverable dive from FL330, one thing for sure will happen, you will get to fully appreciate the effects up close.... and what a sight to behold!

Been practising landings the default B 747-800 at EGLL. I can not get the air brakes to arm I have to do it by hand.... could it be a bug, or is that me doing something wrong... Thought I would post this as proof the landing systems work on the 474-800
