  1. Chicken Strip Saline Valley FSX

This is a very simple representation of Chicken Strip, an isolated rough dirt strip near Death Valley, inside Death Valley National Park. The strip serves the Saline Valley warm springs.
The airstrip dates back to the 1960s, but was officially authorized by the National Park Service after restoration by the Recreational Aviation Foundation in 2019.

  5. FSX Scenery - Pocheon Airfield Korea RKRO

This scenery is for the South Korean Army Airfield located at Pocheon ROK (RKRO, S-217).
It improves upon the vacant default airfield and adds some of the surrounding area homes and businesses.

The rendition is based upon a combination of satellite imagery and personal experience while flying from RKRO during a joint US-ROK exercise in the early 1980’s. There is a detachment of US Marine CH-46’s encamped on the Eastern side of the airbase.

The Pocheon Airbase is approximately 30 miles from North Korea and 20 miles from the center of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. It would play a major role in the defense of South Korea, centered in one of the four major North to South ground assault valleys.

  7. Rancho Del Otay FSX

Simple scenery of a dirt strip that was at one point part of an estate mired in San Diego's longest-lasting probate case.
The airstrip is located on the 29,000 acre ranch formerly owned by Stephen Birch, a name that is likely familiar to San Diegans as his philanthropic foundation funded the Birch Aquarium which bears his name.

  17. hamble_river.zip

Located on the northerly shores of Southampton Water in Hampshire, close to the Hamble Fuel Oil Farm (Module 2) is Hamble River. Situated at the rivers entrance is ‘Hamble River Sailing Club (HRSC)’, founded in 1919 by nine local men. The club is a members club that has a RYA recognized training centre. The position of the club allows yachtsmen quick and easy access to Southampton Water and is a yachting Mecca for yacht racing types. Close by is the interesting little village of ‘Hamble Le Rice’, commonly known as Hamble with its various public houses and mooring options as far as the eye can see; a big attraction to visiting yachtsman.
The 1980’s TV series ‘Howard's Way’ was based around here and made the local ‘Jolly Sailor’ pub famous. There is plenty of deep water for average size boats with over 3,000 berths, five marinas, a couple of boatyards with moorings, including the harbour authority moorings; just about every Marine requirement can be met here.

In spite of the number of berths available it still can be difficult to secure somewhere in the height of yachting season as resident boats fill up the vast majority of the 3,000 plus berths. This is not really a cruising area as the river consists of a narrow navigable channel leading through the numerous moorings and marinas as far as ‘Bursledon Bridge’. Anchoring is not allowed anywhere on the river, up to the bridges, and neither is the flying of spinnakers. Its attraction mainly lies in its central location and proximity to the cruising and racing grounds of the Solent and beyond.

  18. FSX Scenery - MCB Twenty-nine Palms EAF NXP 80's CAX

This scenery is for the Expeditionary Airfield located at MCB Twenty-nine Palms CA (NXP).
It improves upon the vacant default airfield and removes the non-existent default hangars.
The rendition is based upon personal experience while flying at NXP throughout the 1980’s.
I have attempted to recreate the look and feel of this airfield as it appeared during many Combined Arms Exercises (CAX), when there was much activity at the airfield and surrounding area.
Added are parking for combat, cargo, and general aviation aircraft.
And for the ground-ponders, there are some ground  units in the exercise corridor, 7 miles NE of the airfield.

Additional scenery libraries are required for all objects to appear.
The enclosed notecard lists install instructions and the list of libraries, with links for download.

  19. SoCal Helipads FSX

No third party libraries required, this is a selection of three law enforcement and firefighting helipads near Pine Valley in San Diego County and Idyllwild in Riverside County.
The USFS Mountain Center helipad holds a special place in my heart as I went to a summer camp nearby for seven years and got to see the Hueys, Skycranes, and S-61s come and go, particularly during the 2014 fire that forced me and my fellow campers to evacuate. The camp was saved by the hard work of hundreds of firefighters and tankers from Erickson, CalFire, the USFS, Neptune Air, and 10 tanker inc.
This package includes a fire for you to fight, between the Lake Hemet and Mountain Center helipads. These helipads, besides Mountain Center, are dead simple. Just concrete. Enjoy!

  20. San Diego Back Country strips for FSX

No third party libraries required, this is just a pair of airstrips in San Diego's back country.
Empire Ranch (CA98): Unfortunately little to no info about this airstrip is available, it's not on any charts, but it's large and seems decently well-maintained.
It's located off interstate 8 and Old Highway 80, by the Jewel Valley campground, near Boulevard, CA.
Ranchita (26CL): A small, less maintained strip off S22 in Ranchita, CA.
