The Pipistrel Alpha Electro is a modern, light-weight 2-seat, all-electric training aircraft, built with composite materials by Pipistrel d.o.o. in Ajdovscina Slovenia. It is the first GA series-production, certified E-plane, and is powered by one 60 KW axial flux electric motor (80 Hp at 2400 RPM), running on two combined lithium-ion battery stacks with a total charge of 20 KWh. Top speed is 100 Kt, cruise is 75-85 Kt, rate of climb is 800-1220 fpm and endurance is 90 minutes. E-power is achieved using a jet .air file with 424 flb thrust to maintain specified RoC, a 1-USG Tank for minimal weight difference between full and empty battery charges, and a 150 fuel consumption entry to achieve specified endurance. Rolls Royce "Spirit of Innovation" all-electric racer FS98 Rolls Royce "Spirit of Innovation" all-electric aircraft --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fastest all-electric racing aircraft to date, built within the Rolls Royce ACCEL Project (Accellerating the Electrification of Flight), using the record-breaking Reno air-racing champion Sharp Nemesis NXT airframe. The power train comprises three 98% efficiency, direct drive, stacked YASA-750R yokeless, segmented armature, axial-flux electric motors powered by a 750-Volt, 216 KWh battery stack. In November 2021, with 345.4 mph (300 kt), the "Spirit of Innovation" broke the electric aircraft world speed record previously held by the Siemens Extra 300LE, and the best climb record with 202 seconds to 3000 metres. Maximum 5-minute Power is rated at 400 KW (535 Hp), giving 300 Kt top speed, and maximum Continuous power is 373 KW (500 Hp), with 282 kt. Practical endurance is 20 to 30 minutes. Electric power is emmulated in FS98 with a Jet .air file with increased Thrust to obtain high electric motor torque for specified 3000-4000 fpm RoC. A 1-USG Fuel Tank acts as Batteries, with a minimal 6.6 lb weight difference between full and empty charges, and Fuel Consumption is reduced to fit specified endurance.
