  6. Active Sky static weather bakups

    Dear FS 9 simmers,
if you're using HiFisimtech's weather engine Active Sky Evolution(ASE) or Active Sky Advanced(ASA) the possibilities of weatherdownloads have been ended in april 2023
(see https://hifisimtech.com/network-changes-and-online-availability/). Off-line mode and all off-line features and functionality in ASA and ASE however will continue as they have announced.
I did save about 280 specific historical (static)weather downloads from the period of may 2014 up to the latest available one on april 4, 2023. You can use them to have various static weather at least from the past available to use in FS9/ASE of ASA. They are written in the Date_time.wx format and they should be copied to your HIFI ASE Weather map. This map is located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\HiFi\ASE. Overwrite existing files if necessary.

Thanks to Damian/HifiSimTech for permission to publish these static weather data.

  7. FS2004/FSX Callsign for LEMR "Aeródromo de La Morgal", Oviedo (Asturias, Spain)

FS2004/FSX Callsign for LEMR La Morgal, Oviedo (Asturias, Spain)

With the appropriate version of EditVoicepack installed (FS2004, FSX, or both), and inside it, you can import and install this file and many others available in the community. In this case, La Morgal will be not longer "LEMR - Lima-Echo-Mike-Romeo", but you'll read "La Morgal" and you'll hear something like [lamor'gal].

  8. FS2004 AI Flightplan Generator (Excel Only)

FS2004 AI Flightplan Generator (Excel Only). This is an Excel spreadsheet program based on the work of Rysiek Winawer (with Rysiek's blassing) who created the RPP flight plan generator. This version can create fleets at a varierty of bases and includes more features to help create more rational flightplans (such as timezone awareness and filtering destinations by airport types, runway lengths, surfaces, etc). It can be used to create 52 weekly flightplans for a group of aircraft, each week with the aircraft behaving differently so that within the space of a year, no two weeks will have eactly the same set of traffic at the same airports. It is best for creating flightplans for fractional jet operators etc, although you can influence where the AI aircraft are supposed to fly. Several spreadsheets are included, which hopefully will provide a few insights into how the planner is influenced in how it creates plans. There's a PDF instructional overview and some screenshots to peruse. I hope it works for you. Note that you need to say "OK" to macros being run by the planner. It's whole function is controlled by VBA macros and you need to allow those to run. For each fleet you create, a folder appears beside the planner containing all the flightplans you need. 9. FS2004 AI Texture Converter - BMP/DXT From DDS Repaints

FS2004 AI Texture Converter - BMP/DXT From DDS Repaints. This batch file, coupled with the included NConvert graphics conversion software from Pierre-E Gougelet allows FS2004 users to quickly convert DDS-format liveries for AI aircraft into BMP formats. Output can be controlled using folder names, and will be either DXT1 (no alpha) if there are no alpha channel elements there, DXT3, or 32-bit with or without bitmaps. You can run this on individual livery folders within your setup, or convert DDS livery files that are unzipped from a download into a folder on your desktop, using drag and drop onto a short cut that you create. Instructions included. Once you are used to how it works, it is a very quick process even for single liveries. For large fleets it will free up a lot of time! No more livery-by-livery conversions. Sorry, no support via email is offered. However since you are an FS2004 user, you can find me sometimes on FS2004.team. By Matthew Ministry/RF.

  10. FS2004 Installation Of Functional Yokes To 2D Panels

FS2004 Installation Of Functional Yokes To 2D Panels. Movable yokes for 2D panels (primarily for use at add-on aircraft). Noted that many aircraft 2D panels are missing the functional yokes. These yokes can be easily installed to aircraft panels, and opened with the button (marked 'Yoke' in yellow - installed to the panel}. The yoke opens in the middle of the screen but can then be dragged to any most realistic panel location preferable not obscuring the essential instruments. The flight can then be saved with the yoke in this position. To see the instruments behind, the yoke can always be closed by pressing the yellow button. The 18 included yokes are intended for the cockpits of: B-17, B-24, B-29, B-52, B707, B737, B747-777, B757-767, Beachcraft, Cessna, Concorde, DC8-9, Douglas props, Embraer, Learjet, MD11, Piper and VC10. Note that the actual yokes could be different, custom made for the different airlines and different aircraft types, therefore some of these might just partially resemble the authentic yokes used in these types. All included yokes can also be used for any other aircraft panels as deemed appropriate. Finally Many Thanks to all the 'free download' aircraft panel designers, great jobs! By Peter Bendl.

FS2004 Time Zone Compiler. Time Zone Compiler is, to my knowledge, the only tool to compile and disassemble FS2004 time zone bgl files. The disassembler works both with the default timezone.bgl and Dennis Thomson’s files. This is an FS2004 utility but it can also serve people using FSX or P3D. By Antonio Arreghini.

  13. FS2004 Flight Plan Swapping Routine

FS2004 Flight Plan Swapping Routine. Flight plan swapping process and demo environment. This is a small revision of my flight plan swapping process originally written in 2009 and used since that time. It is re-released slightly altered and with a small demo environment that you can use outside of FS2004 to ressure yourself about how it works. It will cater for users that have their flightplans on drives other than the C-drive, and who also use the Scheduled Task feature to automate flightplan swapping. There are instructions including pictures showing aspects of setting it up. The demo environment comes with a set of flightplans that will have Air Force One travelling to various countries over the course of a year. A file is provided that gives you the names of the aircraft flying in the BGLs, to save you from decompiling them to find out. You can use Peter van Der Veen's AIFPC to bulk decompile and recompile if you want to change the plans, for example altering AI aircraft names. Alternatively you can also download the 74 52-week plan sets (52-WEEK_FP_SET_1.ZIP), in which the Air Force One entourage is also present in source format. By Matthew Ministry.

  14. FS2004 ScanAFD v1.1 beta 2

FS2004 ScanAFD v1.1 beta 2. This utility helps to manage AFCAD 2.x AFD files for Flight Simulator 2004. The program reads ICAO codes from each add-on AFD file installed and provides a straightforward means of identifying duplicate airports and renaming or deleting these files. The program can also search for AFDs within scenery add-ons and identify conflicting files across different sceneries. The app will also display facilities details from within each AFD (parking spots, parking codes and runways), giving you more information when deciding which file to keep out of one or more duplicates. This updated version fixes the problems of the utility being unable to find Addon Scenery in non-English FS2004 versions), and not being able to find the Addon Scenery if many addons are installed (400+). 17. FS2004/FSX/P3D DXTFixerX Utility v2.3

FS2004/FSX/P3D DXTFixerX Utility v2.3. This tool fixes the stutters and slow texture loading caused by dxt3 and dxt5 textures without an active alpha channel. The bug occurs when using Imagetool to convert a 32bit bitmap files with a 100% opaque (white) alpha channel to DXT3 or DXT5. This causes stuttering in FS2004 (FS9). It's not as big of a problem in FSX/P3D as they mainly use DDS compression, but it's still good practice to use DXTFixerX here as well, as 3rd party addons might have these faulty textures sometimes. This tool simply and quickly scans your installation and fixes any faulty textures. The program is a stand-alone program - no installation required. Works in Windows 10. By Peter Nyman (neumanix).

  18. FS2004 Aircraft.cfg Auto-Renumbering Utility

FS2004 Aircraft.cfg Auto-Renumbering Utility. This small utility will renumber the [fltsim.xx] sections of your aircraft.cfg file when you make modifications or add new liveries. For example, if you add a [fltsim.n] section, instead of renumbering the sections by hand, just run this utility so you no longer have to worry about keeping the numbers straight. Useful for people who do a lot of aircraft.cfg editing, such as AI Traffic enthusiasts. Stand-alone program, no installation required. Works in Windows 10. By Scott Lookabill.

  22. FS2004 Another fs9.cfg File

FS2004 Another fs9.cfg File. Try it, perhaps you may like it. Many years of trying to get the best from FS2004. This version of the fs9.cfg file is a mixture of some of my humble efforts and some great tweaks by others. I offer my apologies to the authors of these tweaks and hope I have not trodden on any copyright issues. I have concentrated on the areas surrounding Sydney Australia and the city along with Kingsford Smith Intl airport. The scenery packages are not mine. They have been collected over many years of FS2004 flying. The fs9.cfg file works best in conjunction with SYD_HBR2004 and the terrain package for Australia which can be assembled from the world terrain map available on Simviation. Anyway, anyone interested to give it a go, have fun. I find the the terrain for and around Sydney is a quantum leap over the original Microsoft rendition of Sydney. And, as usual for FS2004, Nova, Nova Gold, and the rest of the, "Must Have" files are required. By Mark Hill.

  24. FS2004/FSX/P3D AI Aircraft Editor.NET

FS2004/FSX/P3D AI Aircraft Editor.NET (AIAE.NET) allows easy validation and modification of your aircraft configuration files. It allows mass-updating of specific keys. It checks the [fltsim.x] sequences for correctness. You can re-number sections and format the aircraft.cfg file. AIAE.NET allows to change the wingspan size for FS2004 and for FSX and later aircraft. You can run a detailed validation on a selected aircraft or on all aircraft below a given root folder. The validation checks for missing and unused textures, models and air files, duplicate titles etc. You choose to see either an overview, detailed or error report. AIAE.NET features a model viewer (by courtesy of Arno Gerretsen), allowing you to see any selected model and texture. By Martin Gossmann.
