About This File

FS98 Klemm L.25VE Monoplane. Faster, more powerful competition-variant of the 1928 German sports monoplane by Klemm Leichtflugzeugbau Gmbh. It had a 103 hp Argus As8 8-cyl inverted inline engine, a shorter wingspan, rounded tail surfaces a horn-balanced rudder and an enclosed canopy. Performance was rather impressive, together with a strickingly low fuel consumption. The unit in this release, registration D-1901, achieved second place during the international 1930 Europa Rundflug competition, with starting No. B8. Another Klemm L.25VE came in third, and six other Klemm aircraft participated. Custom panel and textures by Udo Entenmann. Gauges by Freeflight Design Group. By Stephan Scholz.
