FSX P-51D Mustang "Mary Ann". This is a repaint only for the payware Warbirdsim North American Aviation P-51D-5-NA "Little Friends II" product. Assigned to the 364th FS, 357th FG, of the 8th AF, the P-51 "Mary Ann", 44-13345 was commanded by 1/Lt. Charles E. Burtner, he was in escort for a bombing against Rechlin, Germany on the 25th of August, 1944, when his P-51 Mustang reportedly had engine trouble, forcing him to land in neutral Sweden. Burtner and his wingman were interned. Sweden bought the aircraft, entering service in July of '45, becoming their 3rd "J. 26" Mustang, 26003, under Flygflottilj F16 (Uppland Air Force Wing, Uppsala, Sweden) and the first of their D models. (and the only one without the Dorsel Fin Fillet). Repaint by Joseph Thompson, courtesy of the paint kit by John Terrell.
