FS98 Otter Creek Observatory Scenery, New York. The Otter Creek Observatory at Otter Creek NY was privately built with funds and donations by several Syracuse University students. The students worked on weekends, commuting between Syracuse and Malone NY. Otter Creek is approximately 15 miles NE of Malone. The landing strip was made first consisting of a single grass runway 9/27. The creek is a local glacial waterway fed by a small feeder river. The next phase was construction of the Observatory and the cabin next to it, as well as a hangar for aircraft storage. Scenery by Christopher Tarana for Golden Wings for FS98.
