FSX Scenery--Nelson Regional Airport, New Zealand (NZNS). Welcome to Nelson Regional Airport, located in the north-western part of the top of the South Island of New Zealand. The airport averages 90 aircraft movements every day, with a plane taking off or landing every 4.5 minutes during scheduled hours. Approximately 1.2 million people use the Nelson Airport terminal every year. Almost 50 percent of travellers through the airport are business people. Nelson is home to 17 aeronautical and support industries, and has restricted International Airport status. This status was obtained in 2006, in particular to facilitate small private jets.
