X-Plane Savoai Marchetti SM79S Sparviero. The Savoia Marchetti S.M. 79 Sparviero was the best known Italian bomber in WWII, and won fame in its torpedo-bomber role in the Mediterranean Sea. It was dubbed "Il Gobbo" (the Hunchback) because of the shape of the dorsal gunner's fairing. This aircraft was operated by 278 Squadriglia, 132 Gruppo Autonomo Aerosiluranti, Regia Aeronautica, Sicily, Spring 1941. It was the mount of the great ace Carlo Emanuele Buscaglia. The plane is fully animated. This model has been built for X-Plane 9.31 by Paolo Matricardi and Don Bush. Alfa Romeo RC 34 engine sounds by Chris Wraight. Animated propeller by Andrey Kozyaruk.
