FS98 Gary Powers U-2A "Dragon Lady". With civil registration number N800X Gary Powers flew a high altitude reconnaissance mission over the USSR in 1960, with rather unfortunate results that led to an international incident an his imprisonment for three years. The U-2A "Dragon Lady" was designed by Lockheed in 1955, equipping an F-104 Starfighter fuselage with a large set of glider wings. It is a single-engined, very high-altitude reconnaissance and scientific research aircraft, which is still being updated and operative in the present day. 48 units of this early version were built, powered by one 13750 flb Pratt & Whitney J57 P37A turbojet engine, with a maximum speed of 459 kt and a ceiling of 85000 feet.
