X-Plane 9.70 Pilatus PC-6 350 Porter On Floats. Life of the Porter started back in May of 1959. The first Porter, registered HB-FAN, was later flown for the 1960 Swiss Daulaghiri expedition, nicknamed 'Yeti' and painted in a bright color scheme, it recorded the highest landing for a fixed-wing aircraft. By May 5th 1960 it was written off after a forced landing in the high Himalayas and had to be left there at 5.200 meters altitude. And yet the latest version of the Turbo Porter, PC-6 B2-H4, is still in production today; though in very low numbers... By Pedro Van Leeuwen.
