FS98 Aerospatiale Nord N-262E Frigate. 1968 French high-wing twin turboprop marine reconnaissance aircraft built by Nord Aviation, which merged into Aerospatiale in 1970. The Frigate "E" version was an upgrade over the previous Frigate "D" model, the military version of the Nord 262A short-haul airliner. Similarly to the "D" model, the "E" version was fitted with more powerful 1145 eshp Turbomeca Bastan VIIA turboprop engines, but had three-bladed propellers and updated electronic equipment. It had a top speed of 226 knots and cruised at 210 kt. Amongst other devices, it was fitted with an under-fuselage dome housing an ORB-32 Iguane radar. Full operative crew was 8 members.
