About This File

FS98 NASA Lockheed U-2C Dragon Lady. NASA very high altitude research aircraft built by Lockheed Martin at the famous Skunk Works site. The U2C was an enhanced 1955 Lockheed U-2A 'Dragon Lady', powered by a 14995 flb Pratt & Whitney J75-P-13A turbojet engine. It had a maximum speed of 459 kt, and ceiling was officially rated at 72,000 ft, although altitudes of 85,000 ft have been reported. 200 USG Slipper tanks increased range to 4000 nm. Revised FD now allow very high altitude flight, and engine parameters have been more accurately reflected in the FD with help from Andre Lederer. Modified Lear45 panel included, for default and FSFS gauges, now with telescopic periscope. Textures by Udo Entenmann. By Stephan Scholz.
