About This File
X-Plane 9.70+ de Havilland D.H.88 Comet. The DeHavilland 88 Comet was a two seat 1934+ racer designed for a single race from Mildenhall, England to Melbourne, Australia. There were only three built for the race and two more built later for subsequent races and the French government for delivering mail. Only the winner of the race, Grosvenor House, survives though Black Magic is undergoing restoration. There is a Pilots Operating Handbook included within the aircraft folder. Read it--seriously! The 88 was an extremely difficult and unforgiving aircraft to fly. By Chris Grantham.
