X-Plane 10 Savoia Marchetti S.M.79 Sparviero. The Savoia Marchetti SM 79 Sparviero was the best known Italian bomber in WWII, and won fame in its torpedo-bomber role in the Mediterranean Sea. It was dubbed "Il Gobbo" (the Hunchback) because of the shape of the dorsal gunners fairing. This aircraft was operated by 278 Squadriglia, 132 Gruppo Autonomo Aerosiluranti, Regia Aeronautica, Sicily, Spring 1941. It was the mount of the great ace Carlo Emanuele Buscaglia.
