About This File

X-Plane The Flying Scotsman Static 2.0. The Flying Scotsman was built in 1923 for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER). The locomotive set two world records for steam traction, becoming the first steam locomotive to be officially authenticated at reaching 100 miles per hour. Made from scratch in SketchUp 2015 using HD Photo Textures. Converted for X-Plane using Marginal's Sketchup2XPlane utility. Original SketchUp files (train and station) are included. She is on raised rails to avoid ground texture conflict and of course, she belches out thick black smoke! Version 2 includes improvements to the rail, which is now a separate rail object and can be joined into lengths. Also added is a custom railway station. Please download and leave a comment.
