FSX RNZAF Lockheed PV-2 Harpoon. In early 1945, the Royal New Zealand Air Force received the first four of a batch of PV2 Harpoons intended to replace the PV-1 Venturas that were currently in service in the Pacific Theater of Operations. These arrived in March 1945, but at the time the RNZAF's F4U Corsairs were starting to receive more ground attack missions and the decision was taken that the PV-2s were no longer required and the four received were sent back to the USN, and the remaining order cancelled. The four PV-2s received were serialed NZ4701 through NZ4704. This is NZ4703 in what what is believed to be an accurate scheme as there is only one known image of an RNZAF PV-2.
