About This File

FS98 Curtiss Wright AT-9 Jeep. Advanced 1941-43 twin-engined WWII unarmed trainer, built to prepare pilots for the new generation, high performance bombers. Deliberately designed unforgiving and difficult to fly and land, it was however fully acrobatic, and reported by many as delightful if flown by the book. It was powered by two 295 hp Lycoming R680-9 9-cyl radials, and had a top speed of 197 mph. 491 AT-9 units were built, and later a further 300 slightly improved AT-9A's. Contains SCASM-added virtual cockpit and custom panel for default gauges. Fuselage, fin and wing textures by Udo Entenmann. By Stephan Scholz.
