Your claim is one of those really ridiculous claims you can often find on the internet.
No, I have no spreadsheet so users will have to take my comments from their own experiences with FSX and I'm sure they will find them accurate.
There are those who love to argue everything I post such as yourself who may also come in and make equally ridiculous claims.
PMDG type aircraft, into a high end payware international airport, large number of AI aircraft and heavy weather.
No, neither you or anyone else on planet Earth is getting 200fps with a 3.8GHz CPU. lol
You couldn't do this in FS9. FS9 needs a 5GHz CPU I estimate for optimal performance in the most demanding situations.
Yes, for FSX 6-7GHz is my estimate with 7GHz likely being the optimum number to achieve good performance in the most demanding situations.
Ferry flight from Hawaii to Yokosuka. First leg, Midway Island off the nose. 1300nm and a whole lot of ocean. 2200nm to go. Looking forward to a steak and Sapporo beer at the O'club when I get to Yokosuka.
Couple of things-(1) I had to redownload the update in the Content Manager, (2) I found out that while on approach, switch to VLOC, then the Approach button becomes operational (perhaps this was always suppose to work like this??, no sure, but 🙂 ) I took a flight from KJFK to KEWR and my C172 landed while I watched the scenery.
1. On the link in your Support and Release notes in your copy of MSFS.
2. For 2 years now the standard update procedure has been to empty the Community folder before performing a MSFS update and then move things back into the folder. This doesn't mean to give up your downloads and purchases.
Has anyone had any problems making an ILS landing using the stock C172 since the last update?
Prior to the update, I have made dozens of ILS landings using this plane. It actually has a nice interface for selecting your cruising altitude, v/s is easily set, buttons for heading, nav, approach (one of my favorites), I use to be able to line up on the runway, click on the approach button, and while controlling the throttle, the AC would follow the GS and land.
Now that button no longer works (still there), but does not work.
1. First paragraph says, "Click here to learn how . . . " etc. CLICK WHERE?
2. If you move your Community packages to "another folder," then it seems to me you would no longer have available all those neat downloads and purchases from the past 2+ years. What are you trying to say?
