I have a newer LG 32 inch gaming monitor that has a native resolution of 2560x1440, it has a wonderful picture quality.
For some reason, I thought the resolution in the MSFS settings should be set to the same 2560x1440. I have a mid grade computer and had a fairly good looking picture but the sliders had to be set in the low - medium range.
Out of curiosity, I set the msfs resolution to 1920 x 1080 and picked up another 10-12 FPS. I'm going to play with turning things up.
Does it matter in any way if the screen resolution and the msfs resolution are set differenty? I have a feeling it shouldn't matter, but thought I would ask.
Ah, the search only found repaints. Alpha India Group have an FSX-compatible model, you'll need to register on their forums and then search for TFS A380-800, unless this link works for you: https://www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=25437.0
Dunno if this link will work, but I just searched in the library here and got 45 results: https://forums.flightsim.com/search/?q=tfs388.zip&quick=1&type=downloads_file
I figured that was the issue but didn't know if the redirect would be from your end or the internet end. There are so many old sites out there that after years are still experiencing this.
So true Nels, I'm just a stick and rudder guy in smaller aircraft,
The comment was directed towards advance electronics in a 172, not the Garmin system itself.
I also fully appreciated the Collins FMS in the C-12R (got me across the Atlantic).
