I am personally glad I still have my FSX Gold on disks. Just pop into drive and go. Don't see what the problem with that is. And not dependent on my ISP or modem/router. I think this shows the best part of our community, we have myriad ways to access and enjoy. A portable DVD RW USB drive costs $20-$30. I get to keep using all the DVDs I've bought through the years.

We cannot know without more information. ie the link you are trying to access. If you get an error, this may be: You are using an old link from the old forum - these old links will not work anymore . You need to use the new forum. The file was removed by the author. It's most likely reason #1. So please use the download portal her, links do work. thanks

It's a shame you cannot understand, but the thing is, the old site was broken, or soon would be. It was running on software that was 10+ years old and no longer supported. Sooner or later it would simply cease to work, so being proactive and moving to a new platform before that happened was the right thing to do.

So you're not interested in news, feature articles or files? Those are kind of the heart of the web site... Why don't you just bookmark the exact page within the site that you prefer? Your browser should be able to bookmark whatever page you want so you can jump right to it.

In the meantime I reinstalled FSX from CD with the option "Repair" and the problem has been solved. Thanks for all the assistance.
