Don't believe everything you read on the internet. My i7 3.8 gives me over 200FPS with FSX. You do not need a 6-7 gig cpu. Just more hot air blowing through.
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm probably going to hold off and enjoy FSX the way I've got it set up for now.
I appreciate all the good information you gave.

How many in the world? No way. Russia, North Korea, China - never, ever going to report any meaningful numbers of aircraft they have or had. Forget it. Roll some dice and multiply by a factor for a random guess, just as meaningless. No way to know.
Southwest Airlines Announcement - from Saturday Night Live ... A bit of truth in this skit, more than we might dare to admit, sad to say ... but very funny to watch.
Constructive criticism at its finest. Those working to bring this site into the 21st are doing an amazing job. I am glad its not me having to figure all of this out to the satisfaction of so many users. Clearly stated observations of what one sees as an deficiency, and a suggestion as to what would make that usable again goes a long way. Its like the comments aircraft creators get oh to to often "it don't work." Together this community will grow and be stronger working toward a more rewarding online experience.
Thanks for both replies.
Yes, the online functionality box was off. the marketplace is back again.
I have no idea how it got turned off, but it doesn't surprise me anymore that some settings seem to change themselves, every time I download a new update, it changes from full screen to
windows view.
The fact that the online functionality was turned off also means that the Bing Data World Graphics and Photogrammetry were also turned off, no wonder the scenery hasn't looked that good
lately. Do both Bing Data World Graphics and Photogrammetry both have to be on at the same time? Thanks so much, it's nice to have the scenery back!
One night we received WABC AM NY at 5000 ft, over Elizabeth Town NC on the NDB. Followed it all the way to NJ, and had some good tunes to listen to at the same time.
F-4 was the greatest converter of JP-5 to black smoke that ever existed. Damm, I miss the aircraft. Whos' aircraft model is that Rick, payware, freeware, etc?
