Downwind66 Posted February 1, 2020 Share Posted February 1, 2020 Right idea, with a stretch version of the MD-80 series, 2 engine economy, but, the MD90 just couldn't compete with the newer lines of the Airbus and Boeing offerings! TightGit Posted February 2, 2020 Share Posted February 2, 2020 Yes, I've flown on several and, with the rear engines, always a pleasure with such a quiet cabin environment. From a visual point of view, I've always felt the wings look too far back on the DC9 (and even worse on the stretched versions).
