Landing at Wuhan

Recommended Posts

Nice Andy! Don't you just love the 747? When I first started with the flight sim, I guess I was intimidated by the size of this bad boy and stayed clear of them! After flying them, they are large and are quite easy to fly, just have to be patient with them, not like flying an F16, that's for sure!

Thanks for sharing! Rick

Ahh, the joys of Flight Sim. At least you'll have something to do during the quarantine. -- Bob

p.s. Don't bring me back anything... I'm good. :(

From thee I flew direct to KLAX.

Part way through the flight, my number four engine blew out. I was about halfway across, so I decided to push on rather than turn back.

Visibility got pretty bad as I was getting close

And didn't improve much on final

I was able to land, only to learn that the passengers need to be delivered to a facility in New York. They were able to repair the engine, but discovered that the explosion that damaged it also damaged my right aileron, which they couldn't repair. So I'll need to make a stop in Seattle for them to fix it.

I travelled to Seattle, which included a pass of Mt Rainier.

ATC brought me way too close and too high to land so I had to go around

The second time, ATC vectored me in a weird way, but I quietly compensated so I could get down.
